2026. APRIL. RISE

                                                        APRIL 2026 rise

Spring invites us to begin a new, the birds are back, the blooms are bursting with joy, and nature draws us closer to rise and renew. The daffodils are shining bright this year.

Here’s the short God story for this month: Do you know why the robin bird  (by the way, we have many in my yard) is said to have a red breast?

Well, back when Jesus was walking with his cross to the mount.  A robin was so saddened by His suffering that she went to take a thorn branch out of His crown of thorns.   When she did she had to pull on it very hard and her little underside leaned and pressed very hard upon  Jesus bloodied face, rubbing off some of his blood.  Ever since thence, the robins have a red colored breast

Although I love rhythms and cherished rituals, I love to wake up to a fresh start each morning with a walk to see all that God has created anew. Jesus was always walking always on the move, even on the water, so let’s keep walking. Every morning brings  new opportunities to start fresh and give us inspiration, hope, and watch Him do something we never expected.  When you’re inspired, you are enthusiastic, motivated and energized to do something. Let’s all rise early and search for something new within ourselves.

Ask one of these questions. What can I learn or discover today? What is the last beautiful thing that stopped me in my tracks ? How has God restored or revived something in you?

2026. MARCH HEAR

MARCH  2026

Hear or here
Daylight savings time

Here’s to spring again. Windy spring, sure you’ve heard it, but have you listened to it. I’m guilty of this too, most of the time I try to block out the sound of the 💨 but lately I have been trying to listen more and speak less, the quote is: “be quick to listen and slow to speak and slow to anger”. So when you listen, really lean in and listen to the wind, or the rain, or the melody, or to a friend, what do you hear?  Instead of asking yes or no questions, say can you tell me more…Anyway I have a new slogan, 🐾 or pause, rest, and praise

A cup cozy

The owls are back, hear their cool hoots every morning. In Greek mythology the owl is associated with Athena the Goddess of wisdom, so hopefully they will spread it around. Good owl reads are:
Owl Moon by Jane Yolanda
The Christmas owl by Gideon Sterer
The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson
And the fable, the owl and the grasshopper.

The Lord make his face shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee
The Lord lift up His countenance upon thee and give thee peace.

Happy first day of spring the 20th

2026. FEBRUARY. core

 2026 February core

It’s an open winter in the valleys which we have not seen for decades and the antithesis for the southeast. The white tail deer 🦌 are losing their antlers early so that has been some happy, surprising treasures in the fields. More light even for a minute more each day is the same, but with lots more sunshine, so it’s easier to keep the sunshine in your hearts 💞. Which brings me to the word of the month:  core,   Our core is the center of our body and a place where we have our heart, where the Holy Spirit dwells.    I imagine a keyhole place in our hearts that only Jesus can fill so keep finding Him in His word. His word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

And we keep shepherding, walking, running, skiing, or just exercising for your core will help you here on earth to stay active and healthy. Lots to celebrate this month, Super Bowl 8th, st valentine 💘 14th, many birthdays, Presidents’ Day and more.  A pancake supper 17th, the eve of lent.
Or just celebrate God’s spirit working in us to help us rise up and renew each and every morning.
here’s to keeping sunshine ☀️ in your heart.
♥️ And at the core of everything we do
