2025. OCTOBER STOP

October 2025 stop




 The hay is in the loft

The weather is crisp and bright 

With autumn colors of steel and gold

Soft Sun rays against a clear blue sky 

Animals on the search and Birds in flight

I stop along the trail and be still…

Thanks and glory to I Am

It is written for us in the cycles of day and night, the waxing and waning of the moon, the changing of the seasons—-all point to real life flourishes through rhythms. The yearning inside of us is healthy, a kind of compass pointing to our true north. So “be still and know that I Am..psalm 46”, under an aspen canopy of golds and silvers, listening to the rustling of the leaves, the changes in the breeze. Enjoy fall hugs, autumn whispers embracing all that’s real. 

The body craves sleep, the mind craves silence and the soul longs for God. Why does stillness renew the soul because “it anchors presence rather than performance.” In the words of Charlie Kirk, and it also lets God spirit speak to us softly and calmly without interruption. We hope you find a quiet trail to pause and listen. You are loved  you can stop  you can pause  God is enough.

2025 SEPTEMBER SOUL

 September 2025 soul



It’s September!  It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming in summer. Agriculture still dominates in Montana and we had an early spring and early hay crop as well. Fall and September bring back the work in the barn, filling it with hay and cleaning out the cobwebs from the summer months   The shadows are a bit longer and the days a bit shorter. A more quiet reflective time is coming, the sun is lower and the shadows of the trees are stretching slightly longer than the day before. Reminds me of this verse; “He who dwells in the shelter of the most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty”.  psalm91
Imagine living so close to heaven that God and his shadow always covers you. Or imagine walking through the gates of heaven, feeling a rush of cool air and the trees blowing with the breeze bringing you joy.   
Okay back to real life now. Calendar for September:

I Lean upon the windowsill in the morning. I gaze upon the mountains and smile.  This time of year I enjoy the changing light, shadows, colors, and balance my soul again by giving thanks and praise to our Lord and Savior. Then go out and meet the day. I hope all is well with your soul as well.

Are you looking all around you lately?  Look up ;  the clouds have had so much creative variation and movement. The stars have been brilliant. Nature is constantly changing. The water sparkles as the sun  shines brightly. The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters. Psalm24. There’s so much to look at 



Studying the word has helped keep all the changes in our world at bay or in perspective with all of God’s majestic power and glory which is unimaginable for me   

Sometimes, almost all the time,  listening to the news can be frustrating and unnerving, it’s hard to trust any media any more, yet we must keep calm and carry on. C A. L. M  (Christ always loves me). How amazing is that!!

2025. JULY. SEEK

2025 July seek

Summer solstice officially came on June 20th, the coolest weekend we have had in months, great for rest, not for haying; yet the grass is greener and blooming abundantly, where we live. Psalm 23. He leads me to green pastures  I seek the beauty of nature and find it everywhere, hopefully you are too. 



How do you view life as a line———,or a circle πŸ«₯, or a πŸŒ…ray?  Of those three choices, a line might keep you focused yet the circle of life has been referenced for life and death moments too, but I am going with the third choice, a ray for a few reasons. I recently read about the flicker effect of windmills and that has meaning in my life as I don’t always stay on track and may have too many irons in the fire. People are living, dying, celebrating, grieving, caring and a million other things yet, if we think of a circle we think too finitely. After we die, We are supposed to live with God in an eternal realm so let us remember this when we are making plans. A ray has a starting point and then goes on to infinity. Also rays are not alone there is usually several all together. There will be significant points along the way and some muted points as well. God tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 “for I know the plans I have for you…plans to prosper you and not harm you..plans to give you hope and a future “. It isn’t easy to see like God does through a lens that sees  eternity but we can remember this, His message is simply to believe in His son Jesus and try to know him and trust him and follow him each day  Also a ray makes me think of light and that is what God made first  

With all that said Memorial Day and the Fourth of July brackets June and now we must seek the rest of our summer days as we know the season will change and this no jacket weather, green grass time will change and be colder so enjoy the rest of your summer.

2025 JUNE

JUNE 2025 
June is a month that brings growth, harmony, and joy. Usually known for the official start to summer in the northern hemisphere, the weather brings fun and new beginnings for summer vacations, crops, grads, and brides.  This year the summer solstice is June 20 at around sunset so celebrate the 🌞. 
. June is never mentioned in the Bible but many new beginnings happened during what we now call June. It is known Moses giving the Ten Commandments, the angel Gabrielle visiting Mary and telling her about the birth of Jesus, and for the sacred heart of Jesus. Whether it be through gratitude on the mountain top or reading more scripture I think this month we will try to get closer to our Lord and savior.

I have been trying to watch my word or words lately, sometimes doing well and sometimes not so well, the key for me is breathe for a moment before speaking. 



Rustic s eyes are flax blue and brown quite different but beautiful. Sash is wishing all of you a happy Memorial Day. 


Here’s to the flowers. It’s been a blustery winter and spring so welcome to the new season. If you want to feel peaceful read psalms definitely psalm 23. 

My favorite verse is “your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Enjoy the trail.

Birds are back brunch

March went out like a lion lurking about and April is always a combination of winter and spring so changes are in the winds. 

Is home a place for you?  Is it a person?  A feeling?  Whatever home is to you it should give you peace.  There is a cliche “home is where your heart is”. Hopefully that is true for you. If you believe Jesus lives within your heart then you’re always at home and never alone. 

Birds create a refreshed home each year and they only stay long enough to raise their young. God provides for them so we should trust he will do what we need as well. 

Here is a good bible verse to remember: “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies?  Yet not one of them is forgotten by God”. Luke 12

Easter is April 20  because of the resurrection we will see The truth cherish your Easter wherever you areπŸ‘πŸŒ…πŸ’’

2025 MARCH. LION OR LAMB

LION OR LAMB


March came in like a lamb and after the January and February winter storms we had this year, it was a welcome spring break for all. We had three feet of snow and miraculously by the will of God, it melted all slowly into the land. All glory to God, thanks be to Him for every good and perfect thing. 

Most of March will be during lent so I hope you had time to think of what you need to add or give up to make your life more spiritual. Spring won’t come until may but we can hope for Easter as Easter comes April 20, pretty late in April. 

Enjoy the spring skiing and the sunshine as it is such a gift. For that thought; make every day a gift in some way to some one. Think small, a smile, a letter, a comment of encouragement, a hug, all these will make your heart happy and someone else’s too. 

St Patrick’s day on the 17 th will send you to my life scripture or psalm 23. My mom had to memorize it when she was child and always wondered why until she helped me buy my little place. Again, thanks be to God.

January’s final curtain 

We begin February with another snowstorm. It is technically the shortest month yet always seemingly the longest which means it gives us perseverance and strength of character. February also, has many special holidays so let’s try to enjoy life instead of endure it. 
The first is a God child’s birthday 
The 2nd is groundhogs day  (six more weeks of winter for sure)
The 6 th. Ronald Reagan birthday 
The 9th Super Bowl Sunday (too sad for Buffalo Bills)
The 12th celebrate Abraham Lincoln (full moon and my dad’s birthday) 
13th Galentines day :  Celebrate a brunch with your gal friends or a Little woman’s tea (book theme parties are always fun and creative. 
The 14th Valentine’s Day (flowers…or puff pasty hearts stuffed with fruit)πŸ’•
The 17th is this year’s president s day 
The 21st is Heritage day
22nd George Washington birthday 

Spring is still in the distance so cut some willow branches and force them to bloom inside or any blooming branch will do. πŸͺ΄I have a green plant in each room to celebrate life and spring to come.

2025 rings in with lots of snowing and blowing…

Happy New Year 🎈 Good things in January: seeing an  eagle perched atop the highest cottonwood tree, snow blanketing the ground, bonfires and s’mores, focusing on priorities and new year goals, cleaning and declutterring the house, using green plants in simple decor, more reading time, another minute of daylight each day, drinking hot tea or hot cocoa, and enjoying soup and bread, make a list of your favorite January things.  

Epiphany or happy three kings day is January 6 this year.


 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13
What are we seeking this new year or even this new day?  

Every morning I spend an hour with the Lord which is how I came to my 4* word.  In both Matthew and Luke the word tells us, “ ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you:”  Are we seeking God’s will or our own?
